Unwrapped With Gift

August 13, 2026

Tara was an exceptional guest on Unwrapped With Gift. She brought honesty, vulnerability, wisdom, and authenticity to a deeply important conversation about narcissistic abuse, resilience, rebuilding, and finding yourself again. What stood out most was Tara's willingness to share her story in a way that was not only personal but also practical and empowering. Her journey from surviving a difficult relationship to rebuilding her life, becoming a stronger mother, entrepreneur, investor, and author is truly inspiring. Tara was thoughtful, articulate, and easy to connect with throughout the conversation. She created a safe space for an honest discussion and shared valuable insights that I believe will resonate with many listeners. It was a genuine privilege to have Tara on Unwrapped With Gift. I highly recommend her to other podcast hosts, audiences, and anyone looking for a powerful story of resilience.

Meet Tara.

Tara Zaluski was confident, successful, and financially independent when she met a narcissist, and the experience nearly cost her everything. Her story challenges the assumption that only broken people are vulnerable to abuse.

Tara is a licensed Pennsylvania realtor and investor outside Pittsburgh. Her book, I Built the House He Broke Me In: A Survivor's Guide to Recognizing Narcissistic Abuse, Leaving for Good, and Thriving on the Other Side, is named after a real house she renovated with her former husband after they were married, a house that later became an unmistakable metaphor for what was hidden beneath the surface.

She speaks openly about the patterns that let narcissistic abuse hide in plain sight, how to leave when leaving feels impossible, and how to rebuild with intention. After leaving the marriage, Tara continued building. She has completed more than 100 transactions and built a portfolio to over $6 million.
